Minister Roja participated in the Sankranthi celebrations in Shettypalli, Annamayya district and reassured farmers that they would prosper under the YSRCP government's rule. She strongly criticized recent statements made by Balakrishna regarding his claims that an emergency like situation prevails in the state. Roja defended the G.O Number 1 and questioned why Balakrishna did not speak out when 11 people died at meetings led by Chandrababu. She also wondered if Balakrishna had even read the G.O Number 1 issued by the government. Roja dismissed Balakrishna's allegations that the Jagan government in Andhra Pradesh brings an emergency like situation, stating that he had made these comments to appease his brother-in-law in order to see happiness in his eyes.
