TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu, who organised a rally against the present government in the Kurnool district, was met with a resounding response from the present government as the governing party organised a rally in favour of three capitals and decentralisation throughout the Kurnool district. They had shouted slogans at Chandrababu Naidu, the president of the TDP, during his rally in the neighbourhood. Numerous local YSRCP leaders and party supporters attended the decentralisation rally in Kurnool, Nandyala, Kodimuru, Mantralayam, Nandi Kotkuru, and other regional constituencies. They questioned the former chief minister, asking him why he opposed Kurnool serving as the seat of justice. On the other hand, TDP Chief Chandrababu criticised the governing YSRCP administration during a visit to Orvakal in the Kurnool district, claiming that it has failed to develop industry and jobs in the area.
