President Draupadi Murmu travelled two kilometres on foot to get to the Lord Jagannath temple in Puri on her two-day visit to Odisha. The President was earlier warmly welcomed by the Governor Ganeshi Lal and the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The President was spotted greeting people as she walked toward the temple, interacting with children along the route. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was with her. For about an hour, special pujas were conducted at the shrine. Following the President's visit, darshan was unavailable to regular devotees from 10.30 am to 1 pm.
