The Munugodu by-election was won by the TRS. Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi won the high-stakes byelection for the Munugode Assembly seat in the Nalgonda district on Sunday, supporting the TRS's efforts to reposition itself as a national party. Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, a former MLA and BJP contender, finished in second. Palvai Sravanthi, a candidate for the Congress, took third position. Prabhakar Reddy, a candidate for the TRS, reportedly won the election with a margin of 11,666 votes. In the constituency, victory celebrations have already started. Through the opening rounds of counting, the two leaders of the TRS and BJP had maintained their competitiveness, with Raj Gopal Reddy continually regaining and losing his lead. In the end, the TRS increased its lead and won the seat by a margin of several thousand votes.
