The recce event, which purportedly targeted Pawan Kalyan, the leader of the Jana Sena, at his home in Hyderabad, has now become a contentious political issue in the two Telugu states. Jana Sena members claimed that a conspiracy to eliminate Pawan Kalyan involved an alleged supari deal worth Rs 250 crore. Members of Jana Sena alleged that the reconnaissance was carried out multiple times close to the home of their party's President Pawan Kalyan. It was claimed that when they first arrived, they did so on two wheels and got into an altercation with Pawan Kalyan's security personnel. The next time, they claimed, the cars was used for the reconnaissance. The Jana Sena leaders have complained to Jubilee Hills PS and provided video evidence to support their assertions.
