The idea to rename Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) to Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences(YSRUHS) has been challenged by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Telugu Desam President Chandrababu commented on the contentious name change and introducing a bill over it in the Assembly. He alleged that the state governor was startled that he was unaware of the name change for NTR Health University. The former AP CM claimed that YS Jagan made a dark law without the knowledge of the Governor, who is the chancellor of the University.
