Chittoor: Panic gripped among the residents of Kuppam town after a temple priest sighted a leopard on the premises of the temple. The incident took place at Someswara Swamy temple in Pathapet, Kuppam on Tuesday. According to the sources, the temple priest sighted a leopard jumping over a wall and running away from the temple.

He said that he spotted the pug marks of a leopard when he opened the temple doors in the early hours of Tuesday. After getting the information, the forest officials reached the spot and alerted the locals.
