'No bus for...': SpiceJet passengers walk on Delhi Airport tarmac; 'Poor show' despite DGCA action
SpiceJet was unable to arrange a bus to take several passengers to the terminal for 45 minutes after they disembarked from a Hyderabad-Delhi flight, thus they were forced to walk on the tarmac. Spicejet reported a minor delay in the arrival of coaches, nevertheless. SpiceJet was recently penalised by the DGCA and ordered to run no more than 50% of its flights.
The airline recently received criticism from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation for its ongoing struggle to deliver appropriate service (DGCA). The current incident is being looked at by the Indian aviation watchdog as well.
