In a drug case connected to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has filed drafting charges against Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik. The prosecution has reportedly asked the court to file charges against the actress and her brother for ingesting drugs as well as for obtaining and paying for them on behalf of the late star Rajput. Rhea and her brother were among the accused who were all in court. During the investigation, Rhea Chakraborty was detained in September 2020. Nearly a month after her arrest, the Bombay High Court granted her bail. In the drug case, her brother Showik Chakraborty and a number of other people have also been charged with drug financing. Currently, most of them are free on bail. On June 14, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput's body was discovered in his Bandra, Mumbai, apartment. He was 34.
