Maharashtra: A 22-year-old young farmer from Maharashtra applied Rs 6 crore bank loan to purchase a helicopter to rent it out. According to the sources, a farmer Kailas Patange, a resident of Taktoda village applied for a bank loan in a bank in Goregaon as farming unaffordable over the years. It is learnt that he owns two acres of land and the irregular rainfall and drought conditions made farming unaffordable. He stated that he cultivated soyabean in his land for the last two years but failed to get good returns. He further added that the crop insurance money was also not enough.
