Singer KK gets 'Gun Salute' in Kolkata, Mamata Banerjee attends
While the untimely death of iconic singer KK following a live concert in Kolkata has shocked everyone, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stated on Wednesday morning that the state government has decided to honour him with a gun salute at the Kolkata airport. As part of it, the Mamatha Banerjee government honoured him with a gun salute at the Kolkata airport. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee presided over the event and paid respect to the performer. For a while, his body was kept at Rabindra Sadan.
Later, KK's dead remains were returned to his family and transported to Mumbai for funeral rites.
