Singer KK gets 'Gun Salute' in Kolkata, Mamata Banerjee attends

While the untimely death of iconic singer KK following a live concert in Kolkata has shocked everyone, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stated on Wednesday morning that the state government has decided to honour him with a gun salute at the Kolkata airport. As part of it, the Mamatha Banerjee government honoured him with a gun salute at the Kolkata airport. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee presided over the event and paid respect to the performer. Later, KK's dead remains were returned to his family and transported to Mumbai for funeral rites.
