Kerala, June 01: As the country is mourning the untimely demise of popular singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, a video of veteran playback singer from Kerala collapsing on stage while performing live surfaced on social media. He was identified as Edava Basheer. He collapsed on stage while singing a Hindi song from an old movie at a concert held to mark 50th anniversary of music troupe ‘Bhima’s Blue Diamond Orchestra’ at Alappuzha. The 78-year-old rushed to nearby hospital but doctors declared brought dead. Basheer started his career as singer in 1978.
