Telangana government has announced a one-time settlement scheme(OTS) with the goal of collecting at least Rs 1,000 crore from the state's unpaid tax arrears. Realizing the Rs 3,000 crore in tax arrears since the implementation of GST, the government has announced concessions and taken measures toward a solution. The sector is planning to seize the assets of people who do not participate in the one-time settlement arrangement. For payments owed in excess of Rs 25 lakh, an equal instalment facility with no interest will be granted for up to four months. Bank interest rates will be charged to customers who wish to make additional payments.
