Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders, led by the Chief Minister, staged a day-long dharna in the national capital on Monday, demanding that the state acquire 15 lakh tonnes of parboiled rice. The party's MPs and MLAs, as well as all cabinet ministers and elected members of urban and rural local bodies, sat on a dharna at Telangana Bhawan in Delhi. Addressing the gathering, CM KCR, with folded hands, urged the Prime Minister and Union Food Minister Piyush Goyal to purchase food grains. 'I give you 24 hours, and then we will make our decision,' said the leader who has been at odds with PM Modi for months.
