Srikakulam: A thief who stole ornaments from the Jami Yelamma (local deity) temple got stuck in a wall hole while trying to escape from the spot. The incident took place at Jami Yellamma temple in Jadupudi village, Kanchili Mandal in Srikakulam. According to the reports, the accused identified as Papa Rao (30) who is addicted to alcohol entered the temple by breaking the small window of the temple. Later, he looted the ornaments from the Goddess idol and tried to escape through the same window but got stuck in it. After hearing his yelling, the villagers rushed toward the temple and handed over him to the police. A case has been registered and police said that Papa Rao committed crimes in the past to meet his liquor demand.
