Vijayasaireddy, a member of parliament of the YSRCP, has urged the central government to protect the interests of farmers who are suffering due to a lack of fertilisers. The YSRCP MP told Rajya Sabha members during a zero hour discussion on Tuesday (March 29) that the Russia-Ukraine crisis has impacted fertiliser subsidy issues in Andhra Pradesh and other states, putting further burden on farmers. He has emphasised that the Central government's budget allocation for fertilisers has been lowered this year. MP Reddy has urged the government to boost fertiliser subsidies, citing the farmers' predicament as a reason.
