Prakash Raj Condemns Pahalgam Terror Attack, Says Blood is Boiling
Renowned Indian actor Prakash Raj has issued a strong and emotional response to the recent terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In a post shared on the social media platform X, Prakash Raj condemned the incident, stating that the atrocity has made his blood boil. He emphasized that the attack was not merely against tourists, but an assault on Kashmir as a whole and on the warmth and hospitality traditionally extended by Kashmiris.
Expressing his anguish, Prakash Raj stated, “This incident has shattered the heart of every Kashmiri. Words fail me.” He revealed that he wrote his post with immense pain, describing the tragedy of innocent guests being brutally gunned down while visiting to enjoy Kashmir’s peaceful atmosphere. He characterized the attack as a disgrace to centuries-old traditions and an act that shakes collective trust.
“We are ashamed of this brutality, and our blood is boiling,” Prakash Raj said, adding, “Every time something like this happens, we are forced to bear the burden of disgrace. This cannot be forgiven. It is a horrifying, cowardly act.”
He urged the people of Kashmir to break their silence and strongly denounce such barbaric acts. “This was not done by true Kashmiris. Our parents did not raise murderers. There is no justification for such actions—only shame,” he clarified.
Prakash Raj expressed uncertainty about the terrorists’ motives, lamenting that their actions had destroyed families and orphaned children. He appealed to the public not to view Kashmir either as a playground or a battlefield, but to remember it as a place that honors its guests.
He concluded his post by expressing solidarity with the families of the victims. “You came to Kashmir seeking peace, but we failed to protect you. For that, we ask for your forgiveness,” he wrote.
