Woman Constable Dies by Suicide Amid Financial Distress in Hyderabad
A woman constable assigned to the Meerpet Police Station under the Rachakonda Commissionerate died by suicide in Hyderabad, allegedly due to financial distress. The deceased, Akula Deepika, aged 38, had been residing in Hastinapuram Teachers’ Colony along with her husband and children.
According to preliminary reports, Akula Deepika took her life by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her residence during a time when no one else was at home. Authorities suspect that financial problems may have driven her to take this step.
Following a complaint lodged by her husband, Ravikumar, the police registered a case and have launched an investigation into the incident.
Her body has been shifted to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem examination. The incident has cast a shadow of grief over the family of Akula Deepika.
