While scorching heat continues to grip parts of the region, intermittent rainfall is offering some relief to the public in the sweltering summer. In this context, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has once again issued a pleasant update, forecasting rainfall across both Telugu states—Andhra Pradesh and Telangana—today and tomorrow.
The IMD stated that several districts are likely to witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning. Additionally, some areas may experience hailstorms. In Telangana, scattered thunderstorms with lightning are expected in the districts of Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Khammam, Jangaon, Siddipet, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Nalgonda, Karimnagar, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Hanumakonda, Warangal, Nagarkurnool, and Komaram Bheem.
In Andhra Pradesh, the IMD has forecasted light rainfall accompanied by lightning in the districts of Anakapalli, Annamayya, Parvathipuram Manyam, Srikakulam, Kakinada, Konaseema, Sri Sathya Sai, Eluru, East Godavari, and YSR.
Following the IMD's forecast, the Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has issued an advisory, warning that coastal areas may experience high sea turbulence. It has advised fishermen not to venture into the sea for fishing activities.
