Liquor Prices to Rise in Telangana; Government Plans Minimum 10% Hike

Bad news appears to be in store for liquor consumers in Telangana, as the state government is reportedly preparing to increase liquor prices. After already hiking the prices of beer, the Telangana government is now turning its attention to other categories of liquor.

According to information received from official sources, the government is planning to raise the prices of all types of liquor bottles, except for cheap liquor. The proposed hike is expected to be at least 10 percent.

If implemented, this price revision would result in an increase of approximately ₹50 per full bottle, depending on the current price. All liquor bottles priced above ₹500 are likely to see a corresponding hike in rates.
