Roja Slams Pawan Kalyan Over Silence on Tirumala Gosala Controversy
YSRCP leader and former minister R.K. Roja launched a scathing attack on Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, questioning his silence over incidents occurring in Tirumala. “If positions and packages are given to you and your brother, is that enough? Will you never speak again?” R.K. Roja said, criticizing Pawan Kalyan’s inaction.
She questioned how someone who frequently speaks about Sanatana Dharma could remain silent in the face of recent transgressions and atrocities reportedly happening in Tirumala. Roja expressed anger over his lack of accountability, asking why he was not questioning the government regarding these developments.
R.K. Roja emphasized that in Sanatana Dharma, cows are revered. She asked why Pawan Kalyan was not responding to the death of cows at the TTD Gosala, asserting, “No one should mess with God.” She said that any wrongdoer, regardless of their status, should be subjected to legal action in matters related to Tirumala. Roja further criticized the move to file cases against Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, who had brought the Gosala issue to light, instead of prosecuting those responsible for the deteriorating conditions that allegedly led to the cattle deaths. She demanded their arrest and accountability.
Roja alleged that Pawan Kalyan is complicit in the misdeeds of the coalition government and called upon him to “clean the steps of the Seven Hills” as a form of repentance.
It is already known that Bhumana Karunakar Reddy alleged the death of over a hundred cows at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Gosala. Following this, coalition leaders challenged him to visit the Gosala. However, police imposed conditions requiring him to visit with only security personnel, barring his followers from accompanying him.
Defying these conditions, Bhumana Karunakar Reddy attempted to leave his house with a large group of supporters to visit the Gosala but was stopped by police. Consequently, he and YSRCP Member of Parliament staged a protest by lying down on the road. R.K. Roja joined them in solidarity at the protest site.
Speaking on the occasion, Roja stated, “If you said only Bhumana should go to the Gosala, he would go. If you said all of us should go, we would still go.” She emphasized the need for the public to know the truth about the Gosala’s condition. Roja added that everyone is aware of the consequences of opposing the presiding deity of the current age, Lord Venkateswara, asserting that even N. Chandrababu Naidu knows this truth, and Pawan Kalyan has recently begun to understand it.
