There is a Need to Cleanse the Film Club: Ganta Srinivasa Rao
Former minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ganta Srinivasa Rao stated that there is a need to cleanse the Visakhapatnam Film Club. He said that the film club was established in Visakhapatnam in 2015, but after the YSRCP government came to power in 2019, the club lost its direction.

Ganta Srinivasa Rao alleged that even in the election notification process, irregularities were committed. He mentioned that the film club currently has 1,500 members.

He emphasized the need to allot land for the film club and construct a building for it. He stated that there is a collective desire among people for the film industry to come to Visakhapatnam.

Ganta Srinivasa Rao described Visakhapatnam as a sentimental location for the film industry. He said that leading figures from the film fraternity are also showing willingness to come to Visakhapatnam. He noted that the government is considering the idea of developing Visakhapatnam into a film hub.
