Shreyas Iyer’s Special Gift Leaves Net Bowler Jaskiran Singh Elated
The Indian cricket team is currently in Dubai for the ICC Champions Trophy. With two consecutive victories, the team has already secured a place in the semi-finals and is now preparing for its next match against New Zealand on Sunday. As part of their rigorous practice sessions, a heartwarming moment took place when star cricketer Shreyas Iyer surprised net bowler Jaskiran Singh with a special gift.

During a practice match, Jaskiran Singh was fielding when Shreyas Iyer unexpectedly gifted him a pair of shoes. The gesture left Jaskiran thrilled.

"This is a special moment in my life. I received a pair of spikes from Shreyas Iyer. He came over to me at long-off and asked, ‘Paji, kya haal-chaal? Sab badhiya?’ (Brother, how are you? All good?). Then he asked my shoe size. When I said 10, he handed me a pair and said he had brought them for me," Jaskiran shared.

Jaskiran Singh, a chartered accountant by profession, is also a part-time cricketer based in the UAE. He has been living there for the past 18 years. For the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy, he was selected as a net bowler. While he has had the opportunity to field for the Indian players during practice, he is still waiting for a chance to bowl to them.
