Virat Kohli Sets Multiple Records in India vs. Pakistan Clash
In a Champions Trophy match between India and Pakistan, six records were set, with most of them belonging to Virat Kohli. Kohli, who scored a century in the match, was named Player of the Match. This achievement made him the first cricketer to receive the Player of the Match award against Pakistan in the ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup, Asia Cup, and Champions Trophy.

Additionally, Kohli became the first player to win five Player of the Match awards against Pakistan in ICC events, setting a new record for the most such awards against a single team in ICC tournaments. He also became the first batsman to score a century against Pakistan in both the Asia Cup (ODI format) and the Champions Trophy.

Kohli reached the milestone of 14,000 ODI runs in just 287 innings, making him the fastest batsman to achieve this feat. Sachin Tendulkar (350 innings) and Kumar Sangakkara (378 innings) follow him in the rankings.

In the same match, Kohli took two catches, bringing his total ODI catches for India to 158, surpassing former captain Mohammad Azharuddin (156) to become India's leading fielder in ODI catches.

With his century against Pakistan on Sunday, Kohli also became the third-highest run-scorer across all formats in international cricket, amassing 27,503 runs.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma, who was dismissed for just 20 runs in the match, set a record as the fastest opener to reach 9,000 ODI runs. He achieved this milestone in just 181 innings, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar, who took 197 innings to reach the same mark.
