Atul Wassan’s Controversial Statement: Prefers Pakistan Win Over India in Big Match
Former Indian cricketer Atul Wassan has made controversial remarks ahead of the high-stakes India-Pakistan match. While the entire country is hoping for an Indian victory, Wassan expressed his preference for a Pakistan win, stating that it would make the tournament more exciting.

"If India wins, nothing changes. But if Pakistan wins, it will be fun," Wassan said. He further added that stopping Pakistan from winning would not serve any purpose and that victories in tournaments like the Champions Trophy become significant only when Pakistan performs well.

Meanwhile, Pakistan suffered a major setback before their match against India, as star batter Fakhar Zaman has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury sustained in the opening match against New Zealand. Zaman played a crucial role in Pakistan’s previous Champions Trophy victory against India, scoring a stunning century in the final. In his absence, Imam-ul-Haq has been included in the squad.
