Village and Ward Secretariat Employees to Be Categorized Under New AP Government Plan
The Andhra Pradesh government is taking steps towards the rationalization of village and ward secretariat employees. Minister Dola Balaveeranjaneya Swamy held discussions today with associations representing these employees, addressing their concerns regarding service rationalization. During the meeting, the minister received representations from the associations, including requests for promotions and the implementation of the Pay Revision Commission (PRC).
Speaking on the occasion, Dola Balaveeranjaneya Swamy announced that the government has decided to classify village and ward secretariat employees into A, B, and C categories as part of the rationalization process. He stated that a committee comprising senior officials will be formed to draft service regulations, and the officials' committee will examine the rationalization process.
The minister clarified that there is no intention to remove employees as part of this process, dispelling any concerns in this regard. He explained that several departments have numerous vacancies and assured that the government is considering these factors while implementing the changes. Regarding women police personnel, he mentioned that a decision would be taken after consultations with the Women and Child Welfare Department and the Home Department.
Additionally, Dola Balaveeranjaneya Swamy made noteworthy remarks about departmental tests, questioning how employees could receive promotions without passing them. He emphasized that the government is carefully considering all relevant aspects before making final decisions on rationalization.
