Floodlight Glitch Halts India-England ODI, Odisha Cricket Body Faces Inquiry
The second ODI between India and England at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack was briefly interrupted after the stadium’s floodlights failed while India was batting. The Odisha Sports Department has taken the issue seriously and issued a show-cause notice to the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA).

The department has asked the OCA to provide a detailed explanation within ten days regarding the 30-minute disruption during the match. Odisha Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj stated that further action would be taken against those responsible once the association submits its response.

The floodlight failure has also sparked a political controversy. Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Lenin Mohanty has demanded that the state sports minister take moral responsibility and resign over the incident.
