AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan Responds to Union Budget
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has responded to the Union Budget 2025-26, presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. He stated that the budget appears to be designed with a focus on women's empowerment, youth, farmers, and the welfare of the middle class, while also emphasizing national development. He further opined that the budget aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India). According to Pawan Kalyan, the budget underscores that national interests and the welfare of citizens take precedence over political considerations.
Pawan Kalyan praised the continuation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s support for Andhra Pradesh through the Union Budget. He noted that the approval of revised estimates for the Polavaram project would accelerate its completion.
He also highlighted that ₹3,295 crore has been allocated to the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, demonstrating the Modi government's commitment to its protection. Pawan Kalyan expressed confidence that the coalition government, led by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, would effectively utilize the resources provided by the central government.
Additionally, he welcomed the decision to exempt income tax for individuals earning up to ₹12 lakh annually, stating that such measures would support the financial well-being of the middle class.
