Stampede at Kumbh Mela Tragic: Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan

A tragic stampede occurred in the early hours of today at the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Reports indicate that around 20 pilgrims lost their lives in the incident. Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has responded to the incident, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives.

Pawan Kalyan stated that the stampede, which took place as millions of devotees gathered at the Triveni Sangam for the sacred bath on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, was deeply distressing. He described the incident as unfortunate and extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives.

He urged pilgrims from both Telugu states visiting the Kumbh Mela to follow officials’ instructions and take necessary precautions. Pawan Kalyan also wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident.
