No Intent to Become Union Minister, Modi Will Be PM Again: Chandrababu at Davos
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu dismissed the concept of political inheritance, calling it a "myth," during an interaction with a journalist at the World Economic Forum in Davos. Responding to a question about his son Nara Lokesh's political career, Chandrababu remarked that opportunities arise due to surrounding circumstances, and success depends on seizing them.

Chandrababu clarified that he never relied on politics for his livelihood, as he had established family businesses 33 years ago. He stated that while business might be easy for Lokesh, he entered politics with the intent of serving people, not due to family legacy. He emphasized that Lokesh is content in public service and that his entry into politics is unrelated to dynastic aspirations.

The Chief Minister criticized the misuse of resources and wealth accumulation, asserting that such actions hinder national development. When asked about the possibility of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy returning as Chief Minister, Chandrababu stated, “Anyone can deceive people and come to power once, but not repeatedly.” He stressed the importance of values in both politics and personal life.

Praising Gujarat's consistent progress under the BJP’s governance for five consecutive terms, Chandrababu highlighted its developmental achievements and welfare initiatives. He expressed confidence that Narendra Modi, who is serving his third term as Prime Minister, will secure a fourth term as well.

Chandrababu reiterated that he has no intention of becoming a Union Minister. Addressing a question regarding contracts awarded to Adani under the previous government, he noted that the matter is pending in a U.S. court and assured that appropriate action would be taken based on conclusive information.
