Chandrababu's Interesting Remarks on Maharashtra and Telangana at Davos

At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu made intriguing comments while sharing the stage with his counterparts from Telangana and Maharashtra. The event, titled "Country Strategic Dialogue," was organized by the Union Ministry of Commerce to position India as a unified entity for attracting global investments. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Chandrababu Naidu represented their respective states in discussions aimed at drawing significant investments.

During the session, the dialogue focused on investment opportunities in sectors such as artificial intelligence, defense, and green energy. Discussions also highlighted the aspirations of Indian states and the strategies for encouraging global corporations to invest in the country.

Responding to a question during the event, Chandrababu Naidu humorously remarked, “They [Telangana and Maharashtra] are very rich; we are very poor,” gesturing toward Revanth Reddy and Devendra Fadnavis. He elaborated by pointing out that Mumbai is the "Financial Capital of India" and Telangana has the "Highest Per Capita Income in India." Chandrababu Naidu’s light-hearted comment drew laughter from the audience, creating a moment of levity amidst the serious discussions.
