A film starring Vishal, titled Madha Gaja Raja and directed by Sundar C, was released on January 12 during the Sankranti festival. Featuring Anjali and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in lead roles, the film had been delayed for 12 years due to unavoidable circumstances. Following the positive reception, a success celebration was organized in Chennai. During the event, Vishal expressed his happiness, stating that the release and success of a 12-year-old film during Sankranti is a unique record in Indian cinema. He later shared his joy on social media, thanking fans for their support and appreciation.

Vishal also expressed gratitude towards director Sundar C for his unwavering belief in the film. "For 12 years, Sundar Sir gave me the courage that one day our film would release and create wonders," he said. Additionally, Vishal highlighted that during Vijay Antony's live concert in Chennai on Saturday, the song My Dear Loveru from the film, which has gained immense popularity, will be performed.
