2026 March Deadline to End Naxalism in India: Amit Shah
Expressing his condolences over the death of the DRG personnel, Amit Shah stated that he was deeply pained by the incident. He remarked, “The sorrow experienced by the families of these brave soldiers cannot be described in words.” Shah assured that the sacrifice of the fallen soldiers would not be in vain and pledged to eliminate Naxalism entirely from Indian soil.
Shah emphasized that the government is determined to uproot the Maoist insurgency and has set March 2026 as the timeline to achieve this goal. He further reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that no remnants of Maoist groups remain in the country beyond the next year.
This development comes amid continuing Naxal attacks in parts of Chhattisgarh, with Shah stressing that comprehensive efforts are underway to combat the insurgency through enhanced security measures and developmental initiatives in affected areas.
