Allu Arjun Arrested: Watch Video

Hyderabad: Actor Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday in connection with the stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre during the premiere of his film Pushpa-2. The incident, which occurred on December 4, resulted in the death of 35-year-old Revathi, while her son is still undergoing medical treatment.

A police team led by the assistant commissioner visited Allu Arjun’s residence and took him into custody in the presence of his family members. He was escorted to Chikkadpally Police Station for further investigation.

The arrest followed a complaint filed by the victim's family, prompting police to register a case against the actor under Sections 105 and 118 of the BNS Act.

As part of the investigation, police earlier detained a security guard and two others linked to the theatre management. The inquiry into the incident is ongoing.
