Nellore Govt. Medical College not constructed by Chandrababu: Kakani

Nellore, September 24: Agriculture Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy on Saturday said that the TDP chief and Leader of the Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu’s claim of constructing Nellore Medical College during his tenure as CM was not true.

Speaking to the media at his camp office here, Kakani stated that foundation to medical college in Nellore was laid on April 3, 2013. It was named as AC Subba Reddy Government Medical College on August 24, 2013 through GO No. 141. “Except for inaugurating Nellore Medical College, Chandrababu has no contribution in any way,” he mentioned.

The minister said renaming NTR University of Health Sciences after late Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR) was apt for his invaluable contribution in strengthening health and medical sector in undivided Andhra Pradesh. “Chandrababu has a habit of taking credit of others work,” he criticised and demanded him to show his commitment by handing over the TDP to descendants of N.T. Rama Rao.
