AP Assembly: TDP members suspended for fifth consecutive day

Amaravati, September 21: Opposition members created ruckus on Wednesday as the House resumed after a brief adjournment. They stormed into the podium and threw pieces of papers at Speaker Thammineni Seetharam demanding the AP government to roll back its decision to rename NTR University of Health Sciences after former Chief Minister of combined Andhra Pradesh Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, popularly known as YSR.
 
Angered by the behaviour of the TDP members, YSRCP legislators also entered the well. Minister Ambati Rambabu alleged that Leader of the Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu instigating his party MLAs to disturb the House. “TDP members are walking towards podium frequently to get suspended from the Assembly,” he mentioned. 
 
To bring the House in order, Speaker suspended TDP MLAs for the fifth consecutive day. The TDP vehemently opposing renaming NTR health varsity after YSR. However, ruling AP government defended its decision to change the name of health varsity.
