TDP is only opposing chemical units releasing toxic gases: Yanamala

Amaravati, September 20: Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council and TDP MLC Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Tuesday said that the TDP is only against chemical units which are releasing toxic gases leading to air pollution. Talking to reporters in the Legislative Assembly lobby, he recalled that the previous TDP government had opposed chemical industries.
 
Yanamala stated that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy when he was Leader of the Opposition had vehemently resisted establishment of bulk drug firms in AP. “I have video clippings of the CM speaking against bulk drug companies. Not only TDP but also local people are opposing chemical units which are responsible for more air pollution,” he mentioned. 
 
Few days ago, Ramakrishnudu wrote a letter to the Central government not to sanction Bulk Drug Park to AP. The CM and Industries Minister Gudivada Amarnath criticised the TDP in the House for derailing development in the state by opposing Bulk Drug Park.
