Krishnam Raju insisted me to contest for MAA president post: Manchu Vishnu
Hyderabad, September 14: Several Tollywood actors, directors and producers recalled their association with veteran Telugu actor U. Krishnam Raju, who passed away on Sunday morning, at a condolence meet organised at Film Nagar Cultural Centre (FNCC) here on Tuesday.
Manchu Mohan Babu, Ghattamaneni Adiseshagiri Rao, Manchu Vishnu, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, C Kalyan, Jeevitha Rajasekhar, KS Rama Rao, KL Narayana, Damodar Prasad, Prasanna Kumar and others attended the meet.
Speaking on the occasion, Manchu Vishnu revealed that Krishnam Raju insisted him to contest for MAA president post despite his father Mohan Babu was against his proposal. “We made Krishnam Raju as Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee to guide MAA in right direction. MAA used to submit a report to him before 10th of every month,” he mentioned.
Vishnu stated that Krishnam Raju always stood straight with shoulders back. “My father showing Krishnam Raju used to tell me that I have to stand like him,” he said.
