Ganji Chiranjeevi, TDP leader from Mangalagiri, to join YSRCP in Jagan’s presence

Amaravati, August 29: Ganji Chiranjeevi, a key TDP leader in Mangalagiri Assembly constituency, has decided to join the YSRCP in the presence of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy very soon. Recently, he quit the TDP as he has no chance to contest from Mangalagiri in next Assembly elections.

Chiranjeevi had to sacrifice MLA ticket after TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh was fielded in his place in 2019 Assembly elections. However, he lost to YSRCP candidate Alla Ramakrishna Reddy. Lokesh is touring extensively in Mangalagiri constituency to strengthen the TDP. It is an indication that he wants to contest once again from Mangalagiri in next elections.

After severing ties with the TDP, Chiranjeevi did not clarify in which party he would be joining. According to reports, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy took Chiranjeevi to CM’s camp office in Tadepalli. After meeting the CM, he will join the YSRCP in his presence.
