No compromise on maintaining law and order: CM KCR

Hyderabad, August 25: In the wake of protests at several places in the state over the controversial remarks made by BJP MLA T. Raja Singh on Prophet Muhammad, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on Wednesday evening held a high-level meeting with Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, DGP Mahender Reddy and police commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda at Pragathi Bhavan here.
 
The CM informed police officials not to compromise on maintaining law and order and ensure no untoward incidents take place. Especially, he asked them to focus on sensitive and hyper sensitive areas and deploy additional forces if required. He directed top cops to monitor law and order situation round the clock and take decisions accordingly. 
 
A section of people organised rallies demanding that the TRS government should arrest Raja Singh immediately for insulting Prophet Muhammad and Muslims. On the other hand, the BJP activists staged protests asking KCR to take action against his daughter K. Kavitha for her alleged role in Delhi liquor policy scam.
