Pawan Kalyan wants sell Kapu votes to Chandrababu in next polls: CM Jagan

Kakinada, July 29: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday levelled serious allegations on Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. Addressing a public meeting at Gollaprolu after transferring Rs 508.18 crore into the bank accounts of 3,38,792 women beneficiaries of Kapu, Balija, Telaga and Ontari communities under the YSR Kapu Nestham, the CM said that Pawan Kalyan wants to sell entire Kapu votes to TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu in ensuing Assembly elections.

Jagan Reddy stated that his government is directly crediting amounts of social welfare schemes to beneficiaries through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). He criticised Chandrababu for extending welfare schemes based on the recommendation of the TDP leaders and supporters in his previous rule.

The CM claimed that the YSRCP government had fulfilled 90% poll promises. He faulted the TDP for demanding to scrap schemes benefitting people. “I don’t have support of Pawan Kalyan and section of the media but I have blessings of people and god,” he mentioned.
