Chandrababu terms boat overturn incident unfortunate

Narasapur, July 22: Former ministers Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao, Pithani Satyanarayana, Payyavula Keshav and TDP leaders fell into the Godavari river when boat collapsed due to overweight as all of them tried to enter into it at a time at Razole in Konaseema district on Thursday.
 
Recalling horrific incident, former MLA V Sivarama Raju said that the spot where the TDP leaders fell is 15-feet deep. Immediately, local fishermen threw life jackets towards them. The TDP functionaries caught hold of jackets and prevented themselves from drowning. After few minutes, they were rescued.    
 
Responding, TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu here on Friday termed boat overturn incident as unfortunate. “The TDP leaders were tensed initially and every one is safe with god’s blessings,” he mentioned. The TDP chief is visiting flood-hit villages in Palakollu and Narasapuram mandals in West Godavari district today. He criticised the ruling YSRCP government for failing to rescue people from villages submerged with floods.
