Palnadu: Former TDP mandal president attacked, severely injured admitted to hospital

Palnadu, July 19: Rivals attacked former TDP mandal president Balakoti Reddy with sharp weapons during morning walk at Alavala village in Rompicherla mandal on Tuesday. He suffered serious injuries. Immediately, he was shifted to a private hospital in Narasaraopeta. His health condition stated to be critical.
 
The TDP activists lodged a complaint against the YSRCP leaders. They alleged that police did not provide security to Balakoti despite informing the SP about death threat to him from rival political opponents. The police registered a case and took up investigation.
 
The power struggle in villages is leading to faction attacks in Palnadu district. Group associated with ruling party will unleash violence to create terror in rivals and force them to flee villages.
