AP govt withdrew security to Payyavula, alleges TDP; SP condemns

Amaravati, July 11: The Andhra Pradesh government withdrew security to PAC chairman and TDP MLA Payyavula Keshav. Two gunmen, who were provided as security to Keshav, were asked to report to higher officials.

The TDP leaders said that security was withdrawn to the MLA after he gave explanation to the state government over phone tapping. They alleged that the YSRCP government withdrew gunmen to Keshav as part of conspiracy. Few days ago, the MLA wrote a letter to the AP government to increase security cover.

But Anantapur SP K. Fakkeerappa said that gunmen allotted to Keshav were replaced with new PSOs. “The TDP MLA wants to continue existing gunmen, who were working for the last 10 years, instead of new ones,” he mentioned.

The SP clarified that security personnel were appointed as per rules. He alleged that Keshav spreading false news about security withdrawal. Fakkeerappa made an appeal to media and people not to believe in rumours.
