TDP, Jana Sena behind violence in Amalapuram over district renaming row: Minister Viswarup
Even protesters set the residence of Minister Pinipe Viswarup on fire. However, the police shifted minister and his family members to a safe place expecting trouble to him. Protesters damaged furniture at camp office of minister.
Speaking over phone, Viswarup alleged that the TDP, Jana Sena and BJP are behind violence. He stated that BJP town president Moka Subba Rao led the rally from the front. “A few days ago, Subba Rao himself posted photos on social media welcoming the decision of renaming the district,” he mentioned. Home Minister T. Vanitha warned of taking serious action against those responsible for violence.
