CJI Justice NV Ramana expresses anger over Telangana CS

New Delhi: Addressing the inaugural session of Joint Conference of Chief Ministers of States and Chief Justices of High Courts here on Saturday, Chief Justice of India (CJI) Justice N.V. Ramana expressed anger over Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar for keeping the decisions jointly taken by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and Chief Justice of Telangana High Court in pending. 
 
While expressing concern over lack of infrastructure for judiciary, the CJI said that he is asking to implement decisions for strengthening the judicial system. Responding to CJI’s comments, Law Minister A. Indrakaran Reddy has assured him to look into the issue raised by him. He mentioned that Public Interest Litigations (PILs) are being used to settle political scores and concept of PIL has turned into personal interest litigations.
 
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the CMs and CJs and informed them to speed up hearing 3.5 lakh cases related to undertrial prisoners and exhorted to teach legal education in local languages.
