Pawan Kalyan Wraps Shoot for Historical Drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu
The much-anticipated historical action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu, starring Power Star Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, is rapidly nearing its release. The film’s production team has confirmed that filming has been completed and that the movie will be submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) within the next week.
Directed by A.M. Jyothi Krishna, the grand period epic is titled Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit and is scheduled for theatrical release on June 12. Speaking about the project, A.M. Jyothi Krishna stated, “The entire shoot has been completed. We will apply for censor clearance within a week. We finished the shoot across a total of 200 days.”
The film features Nidhhi Agerwal as the female lead and Bollywood actor Bobby Deol portraying Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Detailing the storyline, A.M. Jyothi Krishna explained, “The narrative is set in the 16th century. It is inspired by a minor incident from the Mughal era and presents a story untold in history, blending elements of both fiction and reality. Pawan Kalyan will be seen in a Robin Hood-like role.”
Originally, the film was to be directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and other project commitments, he stepped away, and A.M. Jyothi Krishna assumed directorial responsibilities. Notably, the script for the first part was rewritten by Krish himself.
The director also mentioned plans to release the film in two parts, with the possibility of additional sequels depending on audience reception. Approximately 10 percent of the second part has already been filmed.
Legendary composer M.M. Keeravani has composed the music for the film. Recently, the third single titled Asura Hananam was released during an event in Hyderabad. The ensemble cast includes Nassar, Sathyaraj, Thalaivasal Vijay, Raghu Babu, Subbaraju, and Sunil in key roles.
