Uttam Kumar Reddy’s Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing
An emergency landing was carried out near Kodad in Suryapet district after a helicopter carrying Telangana Minister for Irrigation and Civil Supplies Uttam Kumar Reddy experienced a technical malfunction. Although the incident created a brief sense of panic, all individuals on board, including Uttam Kumar Reddy, emerged safely, bringing relief to officials and the public.

Uttam Kumar Reddy had departed from Hyderabad in a special helicopter to attend an official programme in Kodad. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot detected a technical issue in the engine. Responding promptly, the pilot decided to land the helicopter safely and executed an emergency landing near Kodad.

Upon receiving the information, local revenue officials, police personnel, and security teams rushed to the site. Following the incident, Uttam Kumar Reddy cancelled his scheduled programme in Kodad and opted to return to Hyderabad by road.

The Telangana state government responded seriously to the incident and directed officials to conduct a thorough investigation into the technical fault that caused the helicopter malfunction.
