Operation Sindoor: Cricketers Salute the Indian Armed Forces
The Indian Armed Forces’ “Operation Sindoor,” targeting terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), has drawn widespread acclaim across the country. In response, Indian cricketing legends and current players have expressed their patriotic support, posting messages of solidarity with the armed forces under the slogan “Jai Hind.”

This military action was launched in retaliation for the Pahalgam terrorist attack, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians. Officials stated that after midnight on May 6, the Indian forces carried out precise strikes on nine key terrorist locations.

Former cricketers Gautam Gambhir, Aakash Chopra, and Pragyan Ojha were among the first to publicly praise the Indian Armed Forces. Each of them shared patriotic messages on social media, all captioned with “Jai Hind.” Alongside them, Varun Chakravarthy, currently playing for Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), also expressed his support. He shared an official photograph related to the operation via his Instagram Story.

The operation has stirred strong nationalist sentiments across the country. Hashtags such as #OperationSindoor, #JaiHind, and #IndianArmy are trending on social media platforms. Citizens are also voicing their admiration for the courage and valor of the armed forces, offering their support publicly.
