West Bengal Man Bites Off Wife’s Nose for Being 'Too Attractive'

A shocking incident has come to light in West Bengal, where a man allegedly bit off his wife’s nose because he found it too attractive. This gruesome episode occurred in the Nadia district, within the jurisdiction of the Shantipur Police Station.

According to details, the couple—Bapan Sheikh and Madhu Khatun—reside in the Bairpara area. In the early hours of May 2, around 3 a.m., a sudden commotion broke out in their home. Locals were alarmed by the loud screams of Madhu Khatun, who was heard crying out in distress. As neighbors rushed out in response, they saw her emerge from the house, bleeding profusely from her nose.

Upon inquiry, the revelation left everyone stunned. Madhu Khatun stated that her husband, Bapan Sheikh, had bitten off her nose. She later filed a formal complaint at the Shantipur Police Station, accompanied by her mother.

“He used to say that if he ever got the chance, he would bite off my nose. He finally did exactly that,” Madhu Khatun told the police.
